Add 2 cups kosher salt, 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, 2 tablespoons juniper berries, 1 tablespoon peppercorns, 3 bay leaves, and 1 lemon zest (cut into wide strips). Dip the turkey in salt water, adding more water to cover.

Make A Butter

Reserve 4 tablespoons and rub the rest under the turkey’s skin on the breast and legs. Chipotle Maple: In a food processor, chop 2 sticks of softened butter, 1/4 cup maple syrup, 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, 1 clove of garlic, and a pinch of salt. Asian Ginger: Combine 2 sticks of softened butter, 4 chopped green onions, 1 1/2 tablespoons of grated ginger, 3 cloves of grated garlic, 1 tablespoon each of sesame oil, and soy sauce. Classic Herbs: Combine 2 softened butter sticks, 2 tablespoons chopped parsley, 1 tablespoon dried sage and 1 tablespoon dried thyme, 1 teaspoon pepper, 1/4 teaspoon paprika, and 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves. Rosemary Lemon: Combine 2 sticks of softened butter, 5 cloves of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of finely chopped rosemary, 2 teaspoons of fennel seeds, 1 teaspoon of lemon zest, and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper.

Set the oven rack to the lowest position—Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the turkey breast side up on the shelf of a large skillet and tuck the wings underneath. Tie the legs with twine. Fry until the skin is golden brown and a thermometer inserted in the thigh reads 165 degrees Fahrenheit, about 15 minutes per pound. Place it on a cutting board and let it rest for 30 minutes before carving. If desired, whisk the reserved 2 tablespoons of flavored butter into the sauce before serving.

  • Remove roast from oven, slice, and serve.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, and salt.

Corn-Beard Recipe

There are a bunch of recipes I could suggest but this is the best for the Christmas desserts

Material

  • grain bread
  • 1c yellow cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ c buttermilk
  • ½ c canned creamed corn
  • ¼ cup + 1 tablespoon canola oil cinnamon butter
  • 4 ounces (1 stick) of softened salted butter
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of almonds or vanilla extract
  • Place four 3.5-inch cast iron skillets* in the oven and preheat to 425ºF. Be careful not to touch the hot skillet without using oven mitts or oven mitts, and have an adult help you move the skillet in and out of the oven.
  • Combine cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a medium mixing basin. In a small bowl, whisk together eggs, buttermilk, creamed corn, and ¼ cup oil.
  • Pour liquid ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
  • Remove the hot pan from the oven using oven mitts or potholders.
  • Divide the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil into the skillet and quickly tilt the skillet so that the oil covers the bottom and sides pour the batter evenly into the skillet.
  • Place the pan in the oven and bake until golden brown and the cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean, about 10-13 minutes.
  • Remove the hot skillet from the oven and place it on a cooling rack to cool.
  • While the cornbread is baking, prepare the cinnamon butter.
  • Combine all ingredients in a medium-sized bowl and mix with a rubber spatula. Mix well and stir until evenly colored (no streaks).
  • Place the butter in an airtight container. Serve cornbread hot or hot with cinnamon butter.
  • This recipe makes four 3.5-inch rounds of cornbread. One for families, one for Santa. •

*You can also use muffin pans instead of pans*

Pumpkin Pie

I’m selecting this recipe because I found it so amazing and delicious and if you are on diet then this is right because it falls under the Keto diet, so you can eat sweets but don’t get fat.

INGREDIENTS FOR CRUST

1 1/2 tsp. almond powder

3 tbsp. coconut flour

1/4 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. kosher salt

4 tbsp. melted butter

1 large egg, beaten FOR Dish

1 can pumpkin puree

1 tbsp. heavy cream

1/2 tsp. keto-friendly packaged brown sugar, such as Swerve

3 large eggs, beaten

1 tbsp. ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon MSG. grated ginger

1/4 tsp. nutmeg

1/4 tsp. ground cloves

1/4 tsp. kosher salt

1 tbsp. pure vanilla extract Whipped cream, to serve (optional)

Step 1 Preheat oven to 350°. In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, and salt. Add melted butter and eggs and stir until smooth. Press the dough evenly into the 9-inch cake pan, then poke holes in the crust with a fork.

Step 2 Bake until lightly golden, 10 minutes.

Step 3 In a large bowl, whisk pumpkin, cream, brown sugar, eggs, spices, and vanilla until smooth. Pour the pumpkin mixture into the pre-baked pie crust.

Step 4 Bake until the filling is slightly bubbly in the center and the crust is golden brown, 45 to 50 minutes.

Step 5 Turn off the oven and keep the door open. Let the cake cool in the oven for 1 hour, then refrigerate until ready to serve.

Step 6 Use whipped cream if desired.
